Aoa My question is regarding my baby girl who is 7.5 months old. She is exclusively breastfed and i have started her on solids as well. She used to have a very severe tummy ache when she was 2 to 3 months old in which she screamed tossed and turnee even woke up at night. Passing wind was extremely painful for her. Her poop gave her a slight rash and she became red and sweaty with pain. I was told it might be a cowmilk allergy so i reduced dairy but could not cut it completely. She got completely fine but has now suddenly again developed the same symptoms. How can i confirm whether it is a cow milk allergy or not as she got completely better in between even though i did not cut dairy completely.

What are you giving her for solid diet? And is she breastfed or formula fed? If formula fed which formula? Which dairy products is she taking now?

She us breastfed. For solid food i give her pureed fruits vegetables rice cooked with chicken n veggies and grinded and cerelac. I used to give her yogurt with fruits but i have stopped giving her any dairy since 10 days.

Could be multiple things. My thought is if you haven’t increased dairy products in your or her diet then it’s unlikely milk protein allergy. Babies can sometimes have issues with certain food products and the only way you can tell is by eliminating food products one by one or introducing food products one by one. I would also suggest to check if the cerelac you are giving her does not have dried milk in it. You can check that by looking at the ingredients on the box. If it does then find a cereal that doesn’t have it.
